Me recibí como escenógrafa en 2006, en la Universidad del Salvador en Buenos Aires, Argentina. En 2009 obtuve mi Maestría en Bellas Artes con especialización en Escenografía, en el Frank Mohr Institute en Groningen, Holanda (ahora en el HKU, en Utrecht). Con honores, si se me permite decirlo.
Mi trabajo investiga la fina línea entre los espacios reales y ficticios, con el objetivo de buscar nuevos, o simplemente reactivar los existentes, modos de comunicación con el espectador. Me gusta la idea de que el evento artístico sea una experiencia en la cuál el espectador está involucrado directamente, en el medio de él, en vez de observándolo desde afuera.
Me interesa particularmente la manera en que, tanto individual como colectivamente, construimos redes estéticas a nuestro alrededor. Los objetos marcan momentos importantes en nuestras vidas, humores, ritos, territorios. Objetos funcionales, objetos bellos, objetos simbólicos. La comodidad estética deviene gusto, lo que nos atrae, lo que rechazamos.
Pero los objetos más fascinantes son aquellos que amamos por lo que evocan en términos de experiencias. Me gusta averiguar lo que los objetos significan para la gente. Los que están aceptados colectivamente, y las rarezas individuales. También me gusta encontrarme con objetos nuevos, de los cuales no sé el significado, la función o su lugar en el imaginario colectivo.
A través del arte los objetos pueden correrse de su significado, convertirse en algo nuevo. Exponiendo la manera en que funciona ´el significado´ nos hace preguntar, nos hace pensar, y nos hace vernos y ver al mundo de otra manera.
Esta búsqueda me fue motivando a trabajar con diferentes disciplinas y en diferentes formatos, del teatro a las artes visuales, danza, ópera, música contemporánea, tanto de cámara como pop. Para grandes y para chicos. En Argentina y Holanda sobre todo, pero también en el Reino Unido, Bélgica, Alemania y República Checa.

My work researches the fine line between real and fictional spaces in order to find new, or simply reactivate, ways to communicate with spectators. I like the idea of the artistic event as an experience where the spectator is directly involved, in the middle of it, rather than observing it from the outside.
I am particularly interested in how we individually and collectively build aesthetic webs around ourselves. Objects mark life stances, moods, rites, territories. Functional objects, pretty objects, symbolic objects.
Aesthetic comfort develops into taste, what attracts us, what we reject.
But the most fascinating objects are those we love because of what they evoke in terms of experiences. I like finding out what objects mean to people. Those that are collectively accepted, and individual quirks.
I also like finding new objects of which I don’t know the meaning, the function or their place in the collective imaginary.
Through art objects can shift in meaning, become something new. Exposing the way meaning works brings up questions, new thoughts and a new way of looking at the world and ourselves.
This research has motivated me to work in different disciplines and formats, from theatre to autonomous art, dance, opera, pop concerts and contemporary chamber music. In Argentina and Holland mostly, but also in the UK, Belgium, Germany and Czech Republic.
